Job Description – Production Officer
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Production Officer to manage and monitor day-to-day production activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production operations, achieving daily production targets, maintaining quality standards, coordinating with different departments, and ensuring that production activities are completed safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities as per the production schedule.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the given timeline.
- Monitor the production process and identify delays, issues, or process gaps.
- Coordinate with production workers, supervisors, quality, maintenance, stores, and other departments.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and other resources.
- Maintain and monitor production records, reports, and daily production data.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to defined quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with the stores/purchase team whenever required.
- Follow and ensure compliance with company SOPs, production procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Identify production-related problems and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Minimize material wastage, production downtime, and unnecessary operational losses.
- Monitor machine and equipment performance and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns or repairs.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and workplace safety within the production area.
- Train and guide production workers whenever required.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.
- Support process improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
- Perform any other production-related responsibilities assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Experience: 0–8 years in production/manufacturing operations.
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications can also apply.
- Good understanding of production processes and manufacturing operations.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to work under production targets and deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
